The Spirit of Christmas Foundation Inc.
Our Mission:
 
          The intention and goal of the “Spirit of Christmas” campaign is to raise money so that we can provide Christmas for children in Southwest Florida that would have little or no gifts.  The idea of providing Christmas for a needy family was started many years ago.  Over the years, the number of families that we help has grown, and now we are able to raise enough money to give Christmas to a hundreds of local Southwest Florida children.  

          With support and generous donations, these families are able to experience a wonderful Christmas season. Each year we contact many different locations to find the families that truly need our help - Schools, Churches, Salvation Army, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Health Park Hospital, Ruth Cooper Center, Even Start Family Program, The Amercian Legion, and by word of mouth. 
 

          With the help of many wonderful people, we continue to hold a major Fundraiser. This fundraiser consists of a silent auction and ticket draws for donated gifts, and wonderful entertainment that makes for a fun filled evening. This year it will be held at The American Legion Post 274 on Tuesday December 4th 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.
The American Legion is located at 899 Buttonwood Drive, Fort Myers Beach FL 33931.   
 

          We convert ALL of the money raised into Wal-Mart Super Center Gift Cards to be used at the Colonial Blvd. location in Fort Myers.  A date is designated by the store manager to take our families shopping. The day of shopping proves to be long, but so very rewarding, with lots of hugs and tears of joy.   
 

          Our heartfelt thanks goes out to each and everyone who participates and gives their support to make our Spirit of Christmas campaign so successful each year.
